Dottie and Zip who remain in town were looking forward to some peace and quiet, until Cocktail Frank tells Dotty that the bands that were going to be there just withdrew from attending. Dotty tells Zip to stop the van from leaving so that Dotty, Cocktail Frank, and Zip can tell them what happens and have the three of them come along as the substitute band or there won't be a party. Zip was unsuccessful in stopping the van. Now Dotty and Zip must find another way to get in touch with the gang who are now separated from each other and lost in the Big Apple.

Then Ray Charles takes over with "I've Got a Woman" and "Drown In My Own Tears" before all three of them get together to perform four more tracks.

Friends of Gilda

Friends of Gilda was a 1993 ninety-minute television special made by CBC Television to benefit the Genesis Research Foundation, the research fundraising arm of the University of Toronto’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The fundraiser was a tribute to Gilda Radner, who died of ovarian cancer in 1989 and featured a long list of performers with whom she was friendly. Among these were the "surviving cast members" who had shared the stage with Gilda Radner in the celebrated Toronto production of Godspell which was her professional stage debut. Others appearing in the special knew her from Second City Toronto. Several—including Eugene Levy and Andrea Martin—fell into both those categories.
