On New Year's Eve, everyone is worried about himself... except for the Batal... who took it upon himself
Qarmouti builds a graveyard for his ancestors, and makes it a paid tourists attraction; this causes him lots of problems with the government. Meantime, a journalist videos an antiquities smuggling operation and the tape ends up with Qarmouti who finds himself chased by the smugglers.
The story follows Hassan and his dog, Rambo, as they embark on a quest to save Rambo from Hassan's vengeful landlord, whom the dog attacked. Through his challenging journey across Cairo to find a safe haven for Rambo, Hassan confronts his deepest fears and rediscovers himself.
Zein, a young man in his mid 20s, seems content with his job as a customer service representative for an internet service provider. During one of his shifts, way past midnight, he receives a call from a customer, Akram. Complaining about a malfunction, Akram’s frustration starts growing. His dissatisfaction with the process gradually becomes an abusive rant, during which he lashes out at Zein, exposing to him the drudgery of his work, his powerlessness, and the ugliness of his life.
Two cousins, both from a middle-class background, finally see their dream come true when their inheritance is rightfully returned to them following their uncle’s death. Soon after, and to their shock, they discover that the inheritance is in the form of illegal goods. To liquidate these goods, they create an elaborate mobile game to sell them through it. They call this game… “Siko Siko”. The cousins enjoy a brief moment of spectacular success before a mob boss appears in their lives, claiming to be the real owner of the goods!
This season depicts the events Egypt witnessed in the years following the January 25 Revolution, leading to the Muslim Brotherhood's rise to power, and the crises that afflicted Egypt during that period causing a state of popular anger against the group and Mohamed Morsi, which ended in the outbreak of the June 30 Revolution.
