Eyewitness

"A documentary anatomy of mass murder for one monitor and 34 talking heads." These are the words the filmmakers use in the credits to describe their project, which thematises the execution of more than 260 Carpathian Germans, Hungarians and Slovaks by Czechoslovak army soldiers near Přerov in June 1945. The “massacre at Přerov” is made present through a minimalist dramatisation of the interrogation footage of direct participants, eyewitnesses, and others. It is as if the characters of ancient theatre were entering the Zoom “stage” and delivering a tragic message of fear, hatred and disinterest across the chasm of time.

11 Colours of the Bird

Berlin in the 1920s is a vibrant metropolis. After the horrors of the First World War, people seek their fortune at parties, in glittering variety theaters and dance halls. So-called "ring clubs" dominate the world of crime. When Inspector Paul Lang finds his friend, public prosecutor Barnekow, dead in the crocodile pool of the Tiergarten, the mastermind seems clear, at least to him: the murder clearly bears the signature of Immanuel Tauss, the former head of the gangster ring "The Crocodiles". But Lang's biggest adversary, Tauss, is in prison. Not even the music he plays and worships. It is truly a story from a time that was not worth much, but which cost many of the young people of that time everything. It was a time that brought even rebels and free spirits, such as rock musicians undoubtedly are, to the edge of their true inner courage, but also their humanity.

Waves

At the end of the 1960s, when the air is filled with rock-and-roll and student rebellions are changing the world, the older of two brothers joins a prestigious newsroom of the public radio broadcaster. Not long after, he finds himself in the middle of a dangerous conflict between journalists and the secret service.

Město

The story takes place over 24 hours in Prague. Klára, Viki, and Mechanik live on the edge of the law every day. Viki, a drug addict, is looking for money for his regular fix, preferably through theft. Mechanik keeps his distance; he is a dealer and does not take drugs. Klára has partially overcome her addiction, but she is troubled by the absence of a home. She is about to give birth. The neighborhood where they all live is controlled by a pair of enforcers: a former boxer and his partner Majk. Their fates will dramatically intersect during the course of the day. And it will cost someone their life.
