March 1945. It is already quite obvious to the Nazis that they cannot win the war. So it is time to think about the future after the war and to cover their tracks. One concentration camp must be completely cleared out and the prisoners buried in the mines. Only the mine-hunters remain - among them Ernest, a veteran of the Spanish Civil War from Vienna, and Kim, a resistance fighter from Prague. One day they decide to escape with the other prisoners, but they are betrayed and most of the escapees are shot. The pair of heroes are not alone, however, and on the way they are joined by a guard dog from the camp that Kim used to feed. In the coming days, Ernest leads young Kim through the unrelenting cold on his journey to freedom, teaching him that there is only one rule to follow in this time - kill or be killed.

The brilliant performance of Eliška Balzerová certainly plays a major role in the show's success, but so does the fact that My Wonderful Divorce is primarily a great comedy, but also deals with the serious and quite sad vicissitudes of life that are familiar to at least the female part of the population.
Set in a small-town hospital, the film tells the story of the great suffering of a small rascal, nicknamed “Lies and Steals“, who promises his little partner that he will bring St Nicholas - a traditional figure of Czech Advent - to the hospital room. He fails to keep this promise, his efforts being thwarted several times by the pedantic head nurse, who is called the Old Goat. In the course of the plot, the strained relationships between the three adults - the alcoholic Dr. Koníček, the head nurse and the young nurse Pipka - are revealed, all burdened with various resentments, false illusions and disappointed hopes. Despite all the conflicts, and as if by a miracle, there is a kind moment of extraordinary emotional understanding at the end, and Nicholas finally appears in the hospital.

In a kingdom, there lives a widowed king and his capricious and wayward daughter Jitka. One day, the king gets lost while hunting and meets a mysterious old woman and her beautiful daughter. He immediately falls in love with the girl and takes her to the castle with him. But Jitka is not thrilled about her new mother. And so she discovers that the future queen is not the daughter of a strange woman. But on the journey to find out who is who and what role she plays in the fairy tale, perhaps the most important role is played by Všudybyl, a young man who offers Jitka help and his heart at the right moment.

In addition, he gradually loses most of his life's certainties, including a roof over his head. The result is a second heart attack, after which the hero promises himself again that he will fix everything and live a healthy life.
