Even in a sleepy town, where an 18-year-old lad gets stranded on his way to the family cottage. The fact is that no-one knows at what temperature the human character starts to melt...

An Earthly Paradise for the Eyes

Adolescence is always a difficult time; it is doubly so for Gábina. Sametoví vrazi

A thriller loosely based on one of the most violent Czech criminal cases of the nineties, popularly known as the Orlík murders. The film delves into the motivation behind the killings, exposing their exceptional cruelty and an absolute absence of moral values. Winter '89

Love story against the background of the fall of the Wall. On New Year’s Eve 1989 Maria’s ex-husband turns up on her doorstep. She lives in Rotterdam now and he has just fled crumbling Communism in their homeland. A long flashback makes it clear why he is not welcomed with open arms.

Cesta byla suchá, místy mokrá

The film reflects on how to live life to the fullest and why the journey of life is not always smooth sailing, but rather accompanied by setbacks, uncertainty, obstacles, and failures, and why it is often painful and difficult. Zborník, Hanka, and Eda, this strange trio, seemingly disparate in age and character, experience a series of vicissitudes and crises over the course of a few days, both comical and quite dramatic, in order to come to the realization, each in their own way, that life is not a walk in the park, nor a well-trodden dry path, but that every act of recklessness, stupidity, irresponsibility, or betrayal must be paid for dearly. An intimate story about a steamroller, but more about a trio of strange people who, thanks to this machine, experience several extraordinary days together.

At first, there is only an almost impossible-to-prove suspicion, then the intuition of a loving sister, and so Marie sets out to follow in her footsteps.

Udělení milosti se zamítá

A story inspired by real events from the 1950s to the 1970s. Honza Steiner was neither a tough guy nor a thug. He was just a boy who had the misfortune of finding himself in the wrong place at the wrong time. He ended up on the wrong path due to a series of unfortunate coincidences. Honza was raised in children's homes, juvenile detention centers, and eventually prison. He waged a long, undeclared war with a public security officer, one that was not exactly abounding in rules. The conflict culminated in a staged hunt for Honza, who unfortunately shot his arch-enemy and was sentenced to death for it.
