The Executioner

Cellat, the Turkish version of Death Wish, sticks fairly close plot wise to the template of the American film, with some scenes and bits of dialogue being almost identical. However, it also deviates from its inspiration at times and is at its most interesting and valuable in these little moments, providing lurid snapshots of a place and a culture.

Dursun Çavuş

In 1973, Dursun Çavuş, who lived in Adıyaman, was a simple citizen who made a living as a postman. Things got complicated when his son Abuzer fell in love with the daughter of the mayor, Reşat Ağa. Dursun Çavuş, who had fallen out with Ağa, was persuaded by his wife Server and his friends to retire and run for mayor.Throughout the election campaign, thousands of Adıyaman residents who never left Dursun Çavuş's side were certain he would become mayor. However, Dursun Çavuş had fallen into an election trap. He lost by three votes.

Emine, The Leaning One

Ömer Kavur's first film Yatik Emine (Emine, The Leaning One), relates the story, set in the years of World War I, of a prostitute exiled in a small town.

Free Man

“Hür Adam” or “Free Man” in English is the real-life story of a very influential Kurdish scholar in Turkey that had lived between 1877-1960, 'Said Nursi'. A writer, philosopher, and philanthropist, he compiled many books on Islam covering various themes of faith, brotherhood, and philanthropy and exploring the reasons behind societal weakness, poverty, ignorance, and divisions.

Perişan

It tells the story of Ayşe, who makes a living selling cigarettes, and how her life changes when she becomes a famous singer. Ayşe is a young woman who sells cigarettes at a nightclub. While Ayşe and her friends are singing among themselves, the nightclub owner, Murat Bey, hears Ayşe's voice. Murat Bey is deeply moved by Ayşe's voice and decides to make her a big singer. As Ayşe climbs the ladder of success, she realizes that Murat Bey is in love with her. However, Ayşe is in love with a young engineer named Metin. Murat and Metin, who are unaware of each other, will eventually meet.

Lock

Berna, a theater artist, struggles for the sake of acting only for art at a time when popular culture is dominant. Meanwhile, during a visit to a museum on 'The First Women of History', she is very impressed by the hand-painted portrait of Afife Jale, the first Muslim Turkish actress to appear on stage.

Salak Bacılar

Keramettin Mirzani's lawyer, Mahmut Ceyyah, comes to Istanbul and tells Lawyer Zeki to inform the heirs. One of the heirs is named Gülsüm Bacılar. However, Gülsüm Bacılar, who lived in the village, passed away years ago. Gülsüm Bacılar's four daughters and one son-in-law come to Istanbul to collect their share of the money. Another heir, Memduh Bey, agrees with Lawyer Zeki to also take Gülsüm Bacılar's share. Osman, the fiancé of Sümbül, one of Gülsüm Bacılar's daughters, will understand the situation, and the truth will come to light.

Ben Doğarken Ölmüşüm

The film tells the story of a man whose life changes because of the sacrifice he makes for his brother. Orhan is preparing for his wedding with his fiancée Sevim. His brother Mete, however, is planning to rob the company he works for with a gang. However, Mete regrets his actions and decides to abandon the robbery. But the gang members force Mete to participate in the robbery on the night of the wedding. Mete seizes an opportunity to inform his brother about the robbery. Orhan leaves the wedding and goes to his brother's company. Mete's mistake will change Orhan's entire life.

Kızım Ayşe

Huriye Bacı, a poor peasant woman, moves to Istanbul to educate her daughter Ayşe. She struggles to educate her daughter despite financial difficulties. Ayşe, who has grown up with pure feelings, begins to stray from the right path due to her friends, leading to rebellion against her mother. The suffering mother returns to her village in a state of despair. As events unfold, Ayşe finds the right path, realizes her mother's righteousness, and they all strive together for a happy life.

Evlilik Şirketi

The film tells the story of what a woman does to marry the man she loves. Ali and Leyla love each other. Ali proposes to Leyla. They must get married that day because he is leaving for Germany the next day. They decide to get married in secret, without Leyla's family knowing. However, Leyla's mother and father interrupt the wedding and take Leyla away. Because Leyla is not yet of legal age. The wedding is left unfinished, and Ali goes to Germany. Leyla's neighbor, Mülayim, is also in love with Leyla. However, Leyla's mother demands that a house be purchased as a dowry. While Mülayim tries to marry Leyla, Leyla will seek ways to run away with Ali.
