The truth carries a heavy burden, whether it is said that it sets off a storm, or it remains in the heart that disturbs man. Between telling the truth and revealing a secret or being silent and expedient, one is preferable to the other.

Roxana

Fred is unemployed and just gambling. He lives with his sick mother. He meets Roxana who is filming the wedding ceremonies and then he becomes her assistant. On their first work trip to the north of Iran, Roxana gets involved in a serious problem but Fred somehow helps and saves her, however, there are some more serious problems that Fred will have nothing to do with.

The lack of communication between the mother and the father of a 13 year old, leads inevitably to a divorce. During this ordeal their son, feeling out of place, befriends some troubled older kids and gets involved in murder.

Searing Summer

A couple's son, Parham disappears in the babysitter's house. Complications arise as the babysitter claims Parham hasn't been to their house.

It Happened at Midnight

When the resident singer at a venue that hosts weddings and funerals abruptly quits his job, a young, charming new singer (Hamed Behdad) is hired. Unexpectedly, a romantic relationship begins to develop between him and older, widowed woman who also works at the venue, though neither is immediately aware of the other’s emotions. The romance that ensues creates as much chaos as it does tenderness. This is a star-studded and incredibly entertaining ride.

Dressage

Golsa is a 16-year-old girl living with her family in a small town near Tehran. She spends most of her time hanging out with a group of friends. One day the group decide on a course of action the consequences of which will have unexpected results and turn their little bit of fun into something far more complicated.

Lantouri

Lantouri is the name of a gang that mugs people in broad daylight on the streets of Tehran and breaks into homes in the city’s rich northern district. The gang also kidnaps children from families who have become wealthy through corruption and embezzlement of state funds. The film begins with the confessions of individual gang members. Sociologists, human rights activists and political hardliners also have their say. Gang member Pasha runs amok because Maryam, a socially committed, self-confident journalist, does not reciprocate his feelings. The badly injured young woman demands lex talionis – the law, applicable in Iran, of ‘an eye for an eye’.
