Status Quo: Aquostic - Live at The Roundhouse

Status Quo gave a ninety-minute performance of their 'Aquostic - Stripped Bare' album at The Roundhouse in London on 22 October 2014. The concert was recorded and broadcast live by BBC Radio 2 as part of their In Concert series. The band were augmented on stage by guitarist Freddie Edwards, son of bassist John Edwards. The concert was introduced by BBC Radio 2's Jo Whiley. Its setlist differed from the order of the eventual album track listing.

Status Quo - Aquostic - Live at the Roundhouse

This landmark release, recorded in October 2014 in a joint effort by earMUSIC and the BBC, captures the band’s first ever live acoustic performance at the glorious Roundhouse in London. Live Aid was held on 13 July 1985, simultaneously in Wembley Stadium in London, England, and the John F. Kennedy Stadium in Philadelphia, United States. It was one of the largest scale satellite link-ups and television broadcasts of all time: watched live by an estimated global audience of 1.9 billion, across 150 nations. "It's twelve noon in London, seven AM in Philadelphia, and around the world it's time for Live Aid...!"

Concert for Diana

Concert for Diana was a benefit concert held at the then newly built Wembley Stadium in London, United Kingdom in honour of Diana, Princess of Wales, on 1 July 2007, which would have been her 46th birthday. 31 August that year brought the 10th anniversary of her death. The concert was hosted by Diana's sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, who helped to organise many of the world's most famous entertainers and singers to perform. Proceeds from the concert went to Diana's charities, as well as to charities of which William and Harry are patrons. The concert was broadcast in 140 countries with an estimated potential audience of 500 million. In December 2006, 22.500 tickets were made available for purchase for the concert, selling out in just 17 minutes. 63.000 people turned out to Wembley Stadium to watch the performances to commemorate Diana.

Status Quo - Rock 'Til You Drop

How could Quo top their fantastic 25th year? By staging the most spectacular and lunatic stunt ever. The Rock 'Til You Drop extravaganza took place on the 21st September 1991 across 4 venues; Sheffield Arena, Glasgow SECC, Birmingham NEC and finishing it off in Wembley Arena. The band started at the BBC TV centre doing a playback performance on 'Going Live' to kick off the day... They kicked off in Sheffield on stage around 2pm, then headed down to Glasgow were they arrived on stage 2 minutes late (4:32pm), 30 minutes late on stage in Birmingham (7:30pm) and when the band arrived at Wembley they was 50 minutes late! But that didn't stop the band from making a record of their own.
