One night, several fishermen are attacked and killed by swordfish. At the coast of Singapore, with his courtiers, the King is also attacked. The Temenggong orders that villagers be used as human shields against the attack. The young son of the King's aide, Hang Nadim, suggests that banana tree trunks be used instead. It works and in return, the King agrees to release his father. However, the sly Temenggong instigates the King against Hang Nadim and his father.
