The fall from the top to the absolute bottom can be very fast. A renowned physician, also a beloved father and husband, is accused of a serious felony. Innocence is hard to prove, especially when in desperation to try to save oneself, we sacrifice the secrets that should have remained hidden forever.

To the Woods

Honza Marak has long since abandoned a career in IT and has bought a cottage on the outskirts of a small village, where he’s settled in with his wife Marketa, daughter Anyna and son Sayen. He works in the woods as a forest labourer repairing roads and enclosures, cutting wood to sell and assisting the foresters. Marketa earns a living as a masseuse and alternative healer, making use of various mind-altering plants and mushrooms, which leads to conflict with the old inhabitants and eventually with drug enforcement. Daughter Anyna attends a distant school where her grades deteriorate as she wanders the woods learning from nature rather than from her textbooks.

Storyteller

A loose adaption of Bára Nesvadbová's novel of the same name. A novel that lacks a dramatic line and concentrates on the flow of emotions and feelings of two injured and beloved women, two women that the aging lothario Mára came between. The theme of the entire book is the degree and limit of love, a right and ability to love several people simultaneously while hurting them at the same time. Written by Czech Film Center

Grand Prix

Roman runs a fake car dealership on the outskirts of town, has three children, a vivacious wife and drinks. Emil, a fanatical lover of order, runs his downtown garage, which is backed by his greatest pride: a mock-up of a Formula One car. When Emil wins tickets to the Formula One Grand Prix in a TV competition, he has no choice but to ask his cousin Roman to drive him there. He can't drive. Little do either of them know that the local trouble magnet, the top supplier of stolen cars and Roman's prison friend Štětka, is about to pounce.
