Menstrual Uncle and His Daughter

Mitsuhashi Yukio is a passionate PR man for a sanitary product manufacturer. A single father, he is raising his two children, a daughter in high school and a son in middle school. His daughter, Hana, has mixed feelings about her father, who suddenly became popular on social media because of a menstruation PR video he did for his company. One day, Yukio says on a variety show that he knows his daughter’s menstrual cycle, which leads to Hana running away from home because of rumors popping up at school. Can he fix the relationship with his beloved daughter? How will the two overcome this hurdle?

An ordinary salary man, Junosuke, goes in search of his lover, Miharu, who disappeared one night when she handed him the key to her room, and promised to be back in five minutes. She had only gone out to buy apples at the nearby convenience store, because Junosuke has one for breakfast every morning. Slightly drunk from the cocktail he had had earlier, Junosuke falls asleep, and wakes up the next morning to find that Miharu had never returned.

There is a degree of realism when a professional in the field writes about his vocation and such is the case here. Adopted from a novel written by a doctor and set in Nagano, doctor Kuriharai is overwhelmed by the number and variety of patients he has to see due to a shortage of physicians where he practices. He aspires to work somewhere more convenient, specialize and see more of his wife, but faces a dilemma many other doctors experience.

Yet, their fragile psyches may or may not be ready for such changes ...

A Boy Called H

The Cycling Genius Is Coming!

Teru has been brought up in a hill town and spent his childhood conquering the slopes on his bicycle. Being a cycling fanatic, who resents defeat, he joins Kamegaoka High School, which used to boast a powerful cycling club. There he meets Hatomura, an ace of the club who wants to turn around he club which has deteriorated to the point of dissolution, and Yuta, an aloof cycling genius with unshaken confidence in his speed who does not allow others to follow him. Meeting a rival that is faster than him for the first time, Teru joins the club in order to challenge them. His only interest, however, is his own cycling speed. Joining the club teaches Teru the importance of teamwork to support the lead cyclist and to place priority on the victory of the team.
