A young boy and his young sister are playing on a rubbish dump, acting out their parents' divorce. For this they use their father's things which their mother brought to the dumping ground out of anger. The girl only wants to use their fathers things, but the boy finds something that he finds much more interesting.

Ik ga naar Tahiti

A short feature film about the last days in the life of the Groningen printer and typographer Hendrik Nicolaas Werkman, who was arrested by the German Sicherheitsdienst in the spring of 1945 and executed. His work is prominently featured in the film, which uses flashbacks to portray Werkman's personal and artistic life.

De macht der twee

Duality is the starting point for this collection of Luyken-like associations: his two sons at different locations perform small actions; signed a cross returns as three-dimensional shape; indoor and outdoor spaces. The soundtrack features the sounds of drumming on metal. The title lapels to Luyken's two sons.

Armature

Luyken reads aloud autobiographical texts, as we see images of a performance by Eve Heyningen as Ophelia. Around the lake are sixteen stones that represent sixteen people. We also see Luyken’s sons canoeing and skiing. The black and white images have been coloured by hand. Stones and canoes are recurring elements in Luyken’s life and films.

Murer: Anatomy of a Trial

Franz Murer, the Butcher of Vilnius, a former Austrian SS officer, established, organized, and ruled the Vilnius ghetto in Lithuania during the World War II. Different survivors of the Shoah testify when he is judged in 1963, hoping to do justice, but, although the evidence is overwhelming, the desire to close this obscure chapter of history seems to surpass the desire for justice.

Total Therapy

Nine persons sign up for a self-awareness course at an isolated country estate. Dr. Romero, a charismatic therapist, and his assistants confront the patients with their problems. Cut off from the rest of the world, the participants are increasingly drawn into the therapy's spell.

Intoxicated

Playwright and director Nils Wijn brings his relationship issues to the stage. In his play "The Whore, the Virgin, and the Dying Man," he has his girlfriend Tessa appear in revealing lingerie and takes her to a real prostitute for some practical lessons. This is too much for the actress. Their problem turns out to be contagious, as other members of the theater company also get into arguments with their partners.
