Personal feelings and morals are not required in their investigation. All that is required is an isolated and unaided forced investigation to improve the clearance rate. Hodaka (Yasukaze Motomiya), a detective in the guerrilla division, invites his junior colleague Ushijima (Ryohei Abe), who is on leave from work, to the guerrilla division in order to eliminate the yakuza organization "Kokuryukai," whose true situation cannot be ascertained.

Battle scenes are well-executed and script delivers some memorable scenes, but overall competent helming and thesping are powerless over writer-cum-Tokyo governor Shintaro Ishiara's repetitive storytelling. A post-war postscript adds considerable length to an already over-extended narrative. Tech credits are good quality.
